Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Puempel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nash Smith!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Puempel pinned against the cage. Puempel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Puempel as he jumps to the side.

and Puempel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Matt Puempel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nash Smith.
Nice sprawl there from Puempel as Smith shoots in.

and Puempel makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Puempel counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Nash Smith has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Puempel sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smith takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nash Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Puempel moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Puempel just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith is trying desperately to land a takedown but Puempel is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Smith.
Puempel seems to be stalking Smith here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Smith drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
