These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks throws a chopping leg kick but Dobson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Banks.
Dobson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Banks.
Dobson misses with a few strikes there.

Banks throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Banks does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Banks lands a good knee to the midsection. Dobson won't want to take too many of those.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dobson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Banks manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banks wants to stand up but Dobson is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Le'Veon Banks just wasn't active enough.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Banks, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
