Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cortland Cartwright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orpo Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Jokinen.

It looks like Cortland Cartwright has been cut.
Jokinen feints and then cracks Cartwright's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cartwright down.
Cartwright tries to clinch but Jokinen is having none of it.
Jokinen lands a leg kick that knocks Cartwright off balance momentarily.
Jokinen throws a body punch but Cartwright moves out of range.
Jokinen tries to clinch up but Cartwright circles away and keeps his distance.

Cartwright chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jokinen can pounce on him.

Jokinen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cartwright not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jokinen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cartwright can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cartwright drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jokinen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cartwright has Jokinen in his guard.

Cartwright escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jokinen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cartwright had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jokinen defends it easily.

Cartwright is trying to maintain the position but Jokinen is very close to passing his half guard.

Jokinen wants to work for an arm triangle but Cartwright is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jokinen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Jokinen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Cartwright is defending well though. Jokinen let's go of the attempt for now.

Cartwright is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jokinen is just riding it out for now. Cartwright eventually gives up the hold.
