Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frederic Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laurent comes to the cage accompanied by Tropa de Elite. Takahashi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 暗殺者. Ichiro Takahashi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Ichiro Takahashi has been cut.
Takahashi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laurent throws a nice inside leg kick.
Takahashi slips under a jab from Laurent.
Takahashi motions for Laurent to come forward. Takahashi throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Laurent thuds his right hand into Takahashi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Laurent moves out of range as Takahashi throws a body kick.
Takahashi misses with a two punch combination.
Takahashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Laurent throws a poor cross that misses
and Takahashi moves into the clinch.
Laurent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Takahashi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laurent.

Laurent throws a half hearted mid kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Laurent misses the target.
Nice body punch from Laurent.
Laurent cracks Takahashi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Takahashi throws out a loose jab but Laurent uses good head movement to avoid it.
Laurent tries to keep at a distance but Takahashi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Laurent manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Laurent. Takahashi does a little dance to reset his feet.

Laurent scores with a nice strike.
Takahashi lands a body shot.
Takahashi pushes Laurent away with a front kick.
Takahashi takes one to the side of the head.
Laurent misses with an uppercut. Takahashi saw that one coming.
Laurent cracks Takahashi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Laurent misses with a looping right.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takahashi throws a front kick aimed at Laurent's knee but Laurent avoids it well.
Takahashi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Takahashi defending well as Laurent loads up on a big left hand.
A nice inside leg kick there by Laurent. That's going to slow Takahashi down.
Laurent on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takahashi. Takahashi obviously looking to wear him down.
Laurent throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Frederic Laurent dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Takahashi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Takahashi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Laurent rather than just go for the knockout.

Takahashi fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Laurent is out of range.

Laurent is looking to break free of the clinch but Takahashi has double underhooks.
Takahashi swings wildly with an uppercut but Laurent uses good head movement to avoid it.
Takahashi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Laurent uses from the top position.

Takahashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Laurent is aware though and is defending well.

Takahashi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Laurent is keen to just control but Takahashi is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Takahashi is striking off his back. Laurent thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Takahashi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Laurent's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Laurent's back!

Laurent is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Takahashi gets his way!
Takahashi wants to control but Laurent manages to buck him off and is now in Takahashi's guard! Nice work there by Laurent!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takahashi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The crowd cheers as Laurent lands an impressive looking overhand right. Takahashi doesn't seem phased though.

Takahashi throws a solid leg kick but Laurent takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Takahashi.
Takahashi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Takahashi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Takahashi cracks Laurent with a left hook right on the temple and Laurent goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Takahashi lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Laurent is OK!
