The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sailo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hightower did well to prevent Sailo getting side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sailo is keen to just control but Hightower is a slippery customer.
Hightower moves into full guard.
Hightower has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sailo doesn't defend quickly enough and Hightower has managed to lock this one up! Can Sailo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hightower on a fantastic submission victory.

After the fight, Thor Hightower was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
