The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Toes falls off balance throwing a combination
and Volpicelli makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Toes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Volpicelli throws a front kick aimed at Toes's knee but Toes avoids it well.

Toes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Volpicelli connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Toes scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Jimmy Toes has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Toes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Volpicelli ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Toes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Toes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Volpicelli.
Volpicelli turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Volpicelli, right into the meat.
The fighters circle, before Volpicelli throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Toes's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Volpicelli lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
