PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kandee Dokata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wade kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Are You Ready?. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kandee Dokata!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dokata misses with a kick to the body.
Dokata fakes the leg kick and cracks Wade in the body.
Dokata swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A thudding body kick lands there by Dokata!
Dokata pivots, looking for a leg kick but Wade is out of range and Dokata settles back down.
Dokata turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

and Wade counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wade postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dokata is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wade is in close to Dokata's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Wade postures up in Dokata's guard and throws a big left but Dokata blocks it.
Wade lands a couple of digs.
Wade loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wade chips away with some ground and pound.
Wade throws a big right hand that misses.
Wade postures up in Dokata's guard and throws a big left but Dokata blocks it.
Wade is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Dokata is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wade will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wade connects with a couple of short punches.
Wade distracts Dokata with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Wade stands up over Dokata, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wade is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dokata has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Wade is looking to defend but Dokata has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Wade! Dokata pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Wade taps out and this one is all over!
