Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Omaly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nemesio Magellan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omaly's entrance music is Outside - To Forgive but not Forget . A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nemesio Magellan!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Magellan.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Magellan.
Magellan lands a nice shot to the body.
Omaly takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Omaly shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Magellan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Magellan is looking to clinch but Omaly is avoiding it.
Omaly fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Omaly fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Magellan to the ground. Omaly is now in Magellan's guard.

Magellan pushes Omaly off and scrambles back to his feet.

Omaly bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Magellan pushes Omaly away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Omaly gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Nemesio Magellan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Magellan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Omaly will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Omaly or perhaps it was just good defense by Magellan which made him look bad.
Magellan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Omaly moves away.

A slow jab from Magellan misses its intended target.

Magellan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Omaly circles away quickly and effectively.
Magellan feints and then cracks Omaly's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Omaly down.

Omaly takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Nemesio Magellan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Omaly.
