The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bueno lands a nice shot to the body.

Bueno doesn't manage to clinch there - Castrello circles away.

Bueno throws a hook but Castrello avoids it easily.

and Castrello counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bueno is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Bueno closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Castrello takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Bueno tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bueno has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Castrello gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castrello tries to roll over but Bueno keeps him under control.
Bueno seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Bueno slips a nice elbow through Castrello's hands, connecting with Castrello's forehead.

Bueno is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Castrello moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bueno sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Castrello's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bueno looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Castrello with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

After the fight, Taco Bueno was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
