And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Logan Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kessler connects with a looping right hand.
Kessler misses with a straight right.
Sackett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sackett looks to land a right hand but Kessler moved out of range.

Kessler fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sackett to the ground. Kessler is now in Sackett's guard.

Sackett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kessler is aware though and is defending well.
Kessler throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sackett is looking for a triangle but Kessler pushes his legs off easily.
Kessler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sackett lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kessler!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sackett avoids the attempt from Kessler to control.
Kessler is desperately trying to improve his position but Sackett has a good base and remains in mount.

Sackett connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kessler tries to hold on but Sackett pushes him away.
Kessler sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Kessler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sackett is looking to advance position but Kessler won't allow it.

Sackett trying to pass the guard but Kessler defending well.

Sackett is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kessler has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sackett wants to control but Kessler is keeping him busy.
Kessler regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sackett.
Sackett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sackett won't allow Kessler to sweep him here.

Sackett wants to get up but he can't break Kessler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sackett's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Sackett postures up and lands a big shot to Kessler's brow.

Sackett tries to reverse the position but Kessler maintains control.

Kessler fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kessler connects with a bit shot that sees Sackett covering up! More strikes from Kessler and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kessler is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Kessler!
After the fight, Jack Kessler was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
