The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabrillo throws a quick inside leg kick.
Watson tries to clinch but Cabrillo is having none of it.
Cabrillo blocks a low kick nicely.
Watson connects with a single shot there.
Watson connects with a leg kick. Cabrillo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A low kick from Cabrillo misses
and Watson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Watson connects with a solid leg kick.
Cabrillo tries to clinch up.

Cabrillo gets a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Watson blocks an uppercut.
Watson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cabrillo is defending well for now.

Watson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Watson connects with a solid leg kick.
Cabrillo throws a leg kick but Watson moved away.
Watson scores with a jab.
Cabrillo throws a low kick, looking for Watson's leg but Watson calmly moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cabrillo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Cabrillo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Cabrillo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cabrillo avoids a punch combination nicely.
John Watson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cabrillo shoots for a takedown but Watson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cabrillo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cabrillo connects with an inside leg kick.
Cabrillo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Watson as he avoids it easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Watson.
Watson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cabrillo looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watson just misses with a punch to the body.

Cabrillo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Watson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Watson connects with a leg kick. Cabrillo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Oooooh!!! Watson has knocked Cabrillo down with a huge combo! Watson steps away and waves a wobbly Cabrillo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Cabrillo is rocked!

It looks like Juan Cabrillo has been cut.
Watson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Cabrillo is still on wobbly legs! Can Watson finish him?
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Watson.
Watson shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Cabrillo takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Watson sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Cabrillo bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
