Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Crown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Poddubny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crown's entrance music is Eminence Front. A fine choice. Poddubny has chosen Champion Of The Champions as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Crown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Poddubny!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Poddubny fails with an attempt to clinch.
Poddubny has his takedown stuffed
and Crown counters with a right hand to the body.
Crown misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Poddubny.
Crown throws the left hand but Poddubny avoids the punch easily.
Crown misses with an uppercut.
Poddubny displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Crown throws out the jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Crown misses the target.
Crown misses with a jab, cross combination.
Poddubny closes this distance looking for a takedown but Crown circles away.
Poddubny catches Crown with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Crown misses with a two punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crown moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Crown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Poddubny moves away.
Poddubny misses with a looping right.
Crown jabs Poddubny right on the nose. Poddubny blinks but takes it well.

Poddubny shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Crown is trying to defend but Poddubny finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Crown wants to control but Poddubny is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Crown is trying to stand back up but Poddubny is controlling him
Poddubny thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Crown's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crown is staying active underneath Poddubny, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Crown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Poddubny is trying to control. Crown wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Poddubny seems to be working for a kimura but Crown defends the submission attempt.

Poddubny throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Crown is looking to escape.
Poddubny lands with a punch from half guard.

Poddubny wants to work for an arm triangle but Crown is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Poddubny looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivan Poddubny dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Crown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Poddubny on the ground.

Poddubny throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Poddubny connects with a couple of short punches.
Crown bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Poddubny's guard.

Poddubny looking for a guillotine here but Crown defends easily.
Crown working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Poddubny pushes a forearm under Crown's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Crown is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ivan Poddubny!
In his post fight interview, Ivan Poddubny started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
