Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milan Lucic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glaube Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. . kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lucic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Silva scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Lucic looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.
Lucic takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Lucic throws a solid leg kick but Silva takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lucic.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lucic looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lucic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lucic lands a left and a right that send Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Lucic thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Glaube Silva has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lucic lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Silva up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Lucic from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Silva's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
