Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Makarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Maci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makarov comes to the cage accompanied by Ruskej rapec je klasa. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makarov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Maci manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Maci scoring well with a low kick there.
Makarov tries to clinch up but Maci circles away and keeps his distance.
Makarov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maci swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Maci doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mario Maci seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makarov stalks Maci and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Maci's face. Maci staggers backwards, shaken.
Makarov lands with a nice body punch.

Makarov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maci.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Makarov tries to bum rush Maci with a series of wild strikes but Maci uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Makarov tries to clinch but Maci moves out of range.

Makarov thumps Maci with a low kick.
Makarov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Makarov is looking to clinch.
Maci avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Makarov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maci tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Makarov is in Maci's guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Maci.

Makarov throws a half hearted mid kick.
Makarov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Maci on the side of the head.
It looks like Mario Maci has been cut.
Makarov lands with a right hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Makarov drops Maci with a beautiful combination! Maci stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Makarov is looking for the KO!

Makarov is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Makarov shuts the power down on Maci. Lights out, game over! Makarov is your winner.

Igor Makarov was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
