The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slinga lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Topohanta backs up against the cage.

It looks like Pekka Topohanta has been cut.
Slinga misses with a looping left.
Topohanta is looking to score with low kicks.
Topohanta blocks a jab.
Slinga comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Topohanta walks into a straight right hand from Slinga.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slinga uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A chopping leg kick lands by Slinga.
Topohanta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slinga throws out the jab.

Gun Slinga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Topohanta walks into a straight right hand from Slinga.

Slinga cracks Topohanta with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Topohanta looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Slinga finish him?
Slinga misses the shot to the body.

Slinga lands a big right hand that sends Topohanta crashing to the mat! Slinga stays standing though and waves Topohanta back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slinga buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Topohanta drops his hands for a split second and Slinga immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Topohanta face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Slinga follows up with a right hand that knocks Topohanta into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
