Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Plouman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Hoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hoe's choice of entrance music: Ivanhoe theme. The key to victory for Luke Plouman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Hoe!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman throws a body punch but Hoe moves out of range.
Hoe throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hoe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hoe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hoe there as he acknowledges the shot.
Plouman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hoe throws a head kick that misses.
Plouman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hoe.
Hoe throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hoe misses with the body kick
and Plouman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Plouman wants to clinch up but Hoe keeps it at a distance.

and Plouman makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Plouman throws a body punch but Hoe moves out of range.
Hoe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Plouman throws a good cross that connects.
Plouman thumps Hoe with a low kick.

Hoe shoots and misses
and Plouman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Luke Plouman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Hoe.

Plouman fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hoe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Hoe on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Plouman. Plouman obviously looking to wear him down.
Plouman lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hoe's sensitive parts.
Hoe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Plouman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hoe is trying desperately to land a takedown but Plouman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hoe.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hoe.
Plouman throws a front kick that sends Hoe stumbling back into the cage.
Plouman thows a body shot but no joy.
Plouman lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hoe at a distance.
Hoe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Plouman circles away.
Plouman is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Plouman lands with a hook. Hoe tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Plouman lands a nice looking body kick.
Hoe throws a head kick but Plouman moves out of range.
Plouman throws a series of strikes that have Hoe backpedaling.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Plouman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hoe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Plouman tries to avoid it but Hoe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Plouman to the ground. Plouman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Plouman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hoe tries a low kick but Plouman avoids it.
Hoe throws a leg kick
and Plouman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Hoe gets tackled into the cage by Plouman. Plouman maintains the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Plouman misses with a hook to the ribs.
Plouman works on Hoe's body with a couple of short punches.
Plouman is pressed up against the cage. Hoe has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Plouman down to the mat. Plouman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hoe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Plouman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hoe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Plouman avoids it really well and circles away.
Plouman leaves Hoe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Luke Plouman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Hoe.
Hoe takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Plouman goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Plouman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hoe.

Plouman lands a big head kick that sends Hoe tumbling to the mat! Plouman takes a step backwards and waves Hoe back to his feet - he wants the finish!
