Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikov Kimbley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mikov Kimbley enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikov Kimbley!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimbley tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Kozlov counters with a shoot takedown. Kimbley fights it but they end up in guard.

Kozlov stands up from Kimbley's guard - Kozlov perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kimbley misses with a two punch combination.
Kozlov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kimbley is looking to clinch but Kozlov is avoiding it.
Kimbley moves in looking to clinch but Kozlov pushes him off.
Mikov Kimbley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kozlov misses with a shot to the body
and Kimbley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kozlov is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ivan Kozlov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kozlov tries to land a front kick but Kimbley steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kozlov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kimbley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kimbley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kozlov circles away quickly and effectively.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kimbley throws a nice looking combination but Kozlov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kimbley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kimbley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kimbley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kimbley pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kozlov back to the cage. Kimbley follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Kozlov has his takedown stuffed
and Kimbley counters with a head kick. That will keep Kozlov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Kimbley jabs Kozlov right on the nose. Kozlov blinks but takes it well.
Kozlov tries for a takedown but Kimbley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kimbley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kimbley.
Kozlov takes one to the chin there.
Kimbley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kozlov sprawls well. Kozlov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kimbley gets slowly back to his feet.
Kimbley keeps the fight on the outside.
Kimbley fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kozlov wants to clinch.

Kimbley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kozlov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kozlov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kimbley swivels and escapes.
Kozlov moves in looking to clinch but Kimbley pushes him off.
Kimbley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kimbley misses with the combination.
Kimbley shoots in for a takedown but Kozlov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kimbley lands a nice shot that snaps Kozlov's head back.
Kimbley tries to clinch but Kozlov is having none of it.
Kimbley fails with the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ivan Kozlov will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kimbley leaves Kozlov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kozlov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kimbley thumps Kozlov with a low kick.
Kimbley misses with a wild combination.
Mikov Kimbley seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kimbley looks to land a combination but Kozlov avoids it well.
Kozlov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kimbley pinned against the cage. Kimbley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kimbley tries to keep at a distance but Kozlov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kimbley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kozlov gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kimbley is looking to control Kozlov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kimbley avoid being mounted?

That was a close second round but I would say that Ivan Kozlov will probably get the nod.

Kimbley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Kozlov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kimbley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kozlov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kimbley, pushing him back against the cage.
Kozlov is working for takedown but Kimbley is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kozlov manages to pull guard.
Kozlov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kozlov tries to get out of the position.
Kimbley would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kozlov is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kimbley dives into side control.
Kimbley is putting a hurting on Kozlov here, landing some big shots from side control.
Ivan Kozlov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kimbley tries to stand but Kozlov is controlling his head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kozlov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kimbley is trying to defend but Kozlov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

I would just about give that final round to Mikov Kimbley.
I think Kozlov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
