Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brenden Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramazan Temel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brenden Abbott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ramazan Temel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott digs a good body shot into Temel's ribs.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Abbott. Temel shrugs it off though.
Temel takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Ramazan Temel has been cut.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Temel as he avoids it easily.
Abbott scores with a head kick.

and Temel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Abbott has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Abbott there as he acknowledges the shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Temel misses the target.
Temel moves out of range of the body kick from Abbott.

Abbott fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Temel sprawls well initially but Abbott persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Abbott makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Abbott has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Temel has his foot on Abbott's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Abbott works his way back into a safe position though.
Temel is pulling down on Abbott's head. It's preventing any offense from Abbott, at least for the moment.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Abbott connects with a nice short shot to Temel's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abbott wants to pass the guard but Temel is defending well.

Temel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Abbott is working away from the top position though.
Temel gets back to full guard.
Temel is trying to keep Abbott in close.

Temel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Abbott slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Temel throws a right hand that Abbott ducks under and follows up with a left that Abbott also avoids with ease.
Abbott feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Temels jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The crowd cheers as Temel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Abbott doesn't seem phased though.

Abbott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Temel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Brenden Abbott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Abbott shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Abbott was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Abbott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Temel is looking to escape.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Abbott fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Temel.

Temel clobbers Abbott with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Good leg kick by Abbott there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Temel takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Abbott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Temel.

A slapping body kick lands there for Abbott.

A nice inside leg kick there by Abbott. That's going to slow Temel down.
Abbott works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Temel avoids a punch combination nicely.
Abbott throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Abbott comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Abbott tries to clinch but Temel is having none of it.

Abbott fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Abbott. Temel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Temel takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Temel falls off balance throwing a combination
and Abbott cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Abbott gets a clinch.
Temel avoiding damage.

Temel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Temel misses with a body shot.

Temel just misses with a punch to the body.
Abbott just misses with a punch to the body.
Temel takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Abbott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Temel.
Abbott scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Temel misses with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Abbott uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Temel.
Temel walks forward, straight into a front kick from Abbott.
Temel defending well as Abbott loads up on a big left hand.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Abbott lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Temel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Temel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Temel's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Temel is defended easily by Abbott.
Temel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Abbott throws a head kick that misses.
Brenden Abbott is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Temel swings away with a body shot that misses
and Abbott counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
