Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Devon Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micky Mcgarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micky Mcgarry will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Devon Gonzalez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Micky Mcgarry!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgarry shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gonzalez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mcgarry's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gonzalez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonzalez won't allow Mcgarry to sweep him here.
Gonzalez looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Devon Gonzalez.
Mcgarry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mcgarry closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gonzalez circles away.

and Gonzalez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mcgarry won't be happy with that.
Devon Gonzalez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micky Mcgarry.
Mcgarry tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gonzalez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Gonzalez cracks Mcgarry with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Mcgarry is looking to reverse the position.

Gonzalez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mcgarry is trying to work for a sweep but Gonzalez has mounted him!
Gonzalez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mcgarry is wriggling around trying to escape.

Mcgarry is trying to escape the mount.
Gonzalez looking to control and managing it successfully.
Gonzalez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gonzalez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mcgarry for as long as he can get away with.
Mcgarry is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mcgarry wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Gonzalez keeps control of the position as Mcgarry tries to break free.

Mcgarry breaks Gonzalez's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Oh but Gonzalez is tightening it up a little... Mcgarry has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Mcgarry reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mcgarry taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gonzalez!
