PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Lachance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Sap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lachance comes to the cage accompanied by Saw Theme. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frederick Lachance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Sap!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Sap looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lachance throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sap fails to land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Lachance or perhaps it was just good defense by Sap which made him look bad.
Sap jabs at Lachance's body.
A telegraphed right hand from Sap misses the target.
Sap tries to clinch but Lachance moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Sap.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lachance. Sap does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lachance fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sap avoids it really well and circles away.

Sap trying to control the position but instead, Lachance has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sap into the cage.

Sap looks to land a combination but Lachance avoids it well.
Lachance throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sap's waist but Sap gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lachance off to one side.

Bob Sap is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sap rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lachance moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frederick Lachance will probably get the nod.

Bob Sap comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
