Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kai Urutaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Traian Basescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kai Urutaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Traian Basescu!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urutaka misses with a series of wild punches.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Urutaka!
Urutaka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Urutaka gets a clinch.
Basescu pulls guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Urutaka controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Urutaka trying to control but Basescu is working from the bottom.
Basescu is trying to control the position but Urutaka postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kai Urutaka.
Basescu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Urutaka tries to avoid it but Basescu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Urutaka to the ground. Urutaka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Urutaka throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Basescu counters with a leg kick.
Urutaka swats away the attempt to clinch by Basescu.
Urutaka has a takedown stuffed.

Sloppy strikes from Urutaka. Those never looked like landing.
Urutaka lunges at Basescu with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Basescu's hand.
Basescu tries to clinch up.
Urutaka gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Basescu to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Urutaka is adopting a defensive guard.
Urutaka is looking to stand up but Basescu isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Urutaka pushes Basescu off and scrambles back to his feet.
Urutaka throws a right and a left that both miss.
Urutaka throws a front kick aimed at Basescu's knee but Basescu avoids it well.
Basescu wants to clinch.
Basescu gets tackled into the cage by Urutaka. Urutaka maintains the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Urutaka lands an elbow just above Basescu 's eye.
Urutaka decides to pull guard.
Basescu won't allow Urutaka to sweep him here.
Basescu trying to control but Urutaka is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Urutaka is working an open guard so Basescu takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Basescu is looking to clinch but Urutaka is avoiding it.
Urutaka misses with a wild combination.
Urutaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Basescu counters by moving into the clinch.
Basescu wants to stall.
Urutaka breaks the clinch.
Urutaka throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Urutaka. No joy for Basescu on that attempt.
Urutaka pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Basescu back to the cage. Urutaka follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Basescu is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Urutaka swats away the attempt to clinch by Basescu.
Basescu is still on wobbly legs! Can Urutaka finish him?

Urutaka is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Basescu hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
