PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorge Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior has chosen Kid Sensation - The Way I Swing as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cru Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorge Junior!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well.


It looks like Cru Jones has been cut.
Junior leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Junior throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Junior pinned against the cage. Junior gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Junior's temple.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round but I would say that Cru Jones will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Junior shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Junior to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nice takedown defense from Junior. No joy for Jones on that attempt.

I would just about give that final round to Gorge Junior.
I think Junior has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
