Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rogue Four (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rogue Four!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Askren!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren misses with an uppercut.
Askren turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Askren throws a hook but Four avoids it easily.
Askren swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Four on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Four throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Askren counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Four walks into a jab.
Askren defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Four.
John Askren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Askren tries to work over Four's front leg with a kick but Four checks it.
Askren takes a swing at Four's ribcage but misses.
Four tries to clinch there but Askren circles away.

Four moves into the clinch.
Four tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Askren just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Four jumps guard but Askren stands there with Four around his waist. Four gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rogue Four. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Askren breaks the clinch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Askren lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Four has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Four and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Askren on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The fighters circle momentarily. Askren darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Four just misses with a punch to the body.
Four shoots for a takedown but Askren saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Some wild striking there from Four.
Askren throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Four counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Four.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Four working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Askren manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Four manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Askren content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Askren controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Askren got a little sloppy there for a moment and Four has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Askren has managed to get both his arms back between Four's legs - danger averted.

Four is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Four is looking for a triangle but Askren pushes his legs off easily.
Askren is in close to Four's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Four had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Askren defends it easily.
Askren keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Four's head.

Askren stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Four misses with a takedown
and Askren counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice defenses there by Four.
Four blocks a low kick nicely.
Four shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Askren pinned against the cage. Askren gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Askren walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Four checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Four slips a jab from Askren.
Four shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Askren counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Four tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Askren looks to throw the jab but Four is out of range.
Four ducks right into an uppercut from Askren.
Askren just misses with a punch to the body.
Four connects with a body shot that sends Askren's belly button to the back.
Four tries to clinch up but Askren circles away and keeps his distance.
Askren dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Askren lands a jab to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Four misses with a combination
letting Askren counter with a right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Askren lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Askren dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Four takes a jab right on the kisser.
Askren lands a lovely overhand right.
Askren stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Askren wants it to stay on the feet.
Four moves to clinch but Askren breaks away
and Askren makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Askren scores with a jab to the body.
Four fails with a takedown attempt.
Four tries to bum rush Askren with a series of wild strikes but Askren uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Four is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Askren scores with a sloppy right hand. Four should have avoided that one.
Askren connects with a solid leg kick.
Askren throws an overhand right that lands on Four's shoulder, as Four tries to avoid the shot.
Four on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Four walks straight into a right hand from Askren - that's dropped him! Askren jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Four from any more punishment! Four complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). John Askren!
