Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Forbes!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forbes tries to clinch up but Ruden circles away and keeps his distance.
Forbes looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Forbes shoots for a double leg takedown but Ruden sprawls well. He's pushed Forbes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ruden closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Forbes's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ruden wants to control from the top but Forbes keeps moving.
Ruden connects with a couple of short punches.
Ruden is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ruden has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joe Ruden wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Ruden lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Forbes circles away quickly and effectively.

Ruden throws a lazy right hand but Forbes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ruden just misses with a punch to the body.

Ruden gets the takedown into side control.
Forbes is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Ruden has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Forbes!
The referee warns Forbes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like Anthony Forbes has been cut.
Ruden breaks from Forbes's wrist control and lands an elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Forbes takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ruden's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Ruden!
After winning the bout, Joe Ruden thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
