Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tongtong Valderrama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yancy Malaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valderrama throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Malaki misses with a hook. Valderrama ducked under it nicely.
Valderrama fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malaki manages to avoid it.
Malaki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Malaki avoids the body shot from Valderrama.
Valderrama swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Valderrama lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Malaki circles away quickly and effectively.
Malaki just misses with a punch to the body.
Valderrama on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Malaki scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Malaki dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Malaki throws out a powerful jab.
Malaki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Valderrama stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Valderrama checks the leg kick.
Malaki lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Valderrama backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Malaki moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Malaki throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Valderrama's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Malaki dives in looking to finish as Valderrama flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Malaki's strikes! Malaki is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Valderrama's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Valderrama was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yancy Malaki!
Yancy Malaki really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KAISER logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
