Da Man comes to the cage accompanied by Tenacious D - Beelzeboss. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Damo Bodhidharma was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Damo Bodhidharma!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bodhidharma swings widly with a right hand
and Da Man makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bodhidharma scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Paco Da Man has been cut.
Bodhidharma misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Da Man scores with a jab.
Da Man takes a jab right on the kisser.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bodhidharma tries to move into range but Da Man moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A jab lands there for Da Man.
Da Man missing with a left hand there. Bodhidharma was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Da Man swings for the body but Bodhidharma moves out of range.
A cross from Da Man lands.
Bodhidharma throws a combination that misses
and Da Man counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bodhidharma thinking.
Bodhidharma throws a head kick that misses.
Bodhidharma defending well as Da Man loads up on a big left hand.
Da Man lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bodhidharma pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bodhidharma. Da Man does a little dance to reset his feet.

Da Man has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bodhidharma finds it's way round the side to connect with Da Man's head.

Da Man cracks Bodhidharma with a big right hand and Bodhidharma goes down!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Da Man pushes down on Bodhidharma's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bodhidharma is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bodhidharma is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Da Man throwing shots but Bodhidharma is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Da Man thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bodhidharma can do anything to dispel that myth.
Da Man is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bodhidharma avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Da Man.
Da Man sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Da Man drops an elbow to the side of Bodhidharma's head.

Da Man not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bodhidharma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Da Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Da Man is controlling the pace.
Bodhidharma is in trouble now - Da Man has advanced to mount!
Da Man with shots to the head and body - Bodhidharma looks very uncomfortable down there.
Da Man drops a big elbow. That's hurt Bodhidharma! More shots from Da Man and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
