Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Chavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavo has chosen Rico Sauva by Girardo as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Kringle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Chavo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chavo gets a clinch.

Kringle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kringle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kringle manages to escape and get back to his feet.

and Kringle holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Kringle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Chavo keeps control of Kringle as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Chavo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kringle's efforts to push away.
Kringle connects with a knee to the head.
Kringle tries to break free but Chavo pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Kringle's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kringle is trying to push Chavo away but Chavo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Chavo lands a takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kringle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chavo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kringle is working an open guard so Chavo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Chavo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chavo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kris Kringle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Chavo.

and Kringle holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kringle throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Chavo blocks it with crossed arms.
Chavo takes a knee right on the jaw!

Kringle is trying to break the clinch but Chavo is controlling him.

Chavo has hold of one of Kringle's legs. Kringle is fighting the takedown attempt but Chavo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chavo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Chavo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kringle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Chavo is in all sorts of trouble here.

Chavo is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Kringle is landing with some decent strikes but Chavo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
BOOM! Kringle connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Chavo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Kringle throwing strikes here but Chavo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Kringle misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kris Kringle dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Chavo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kringle avoids it really well and circles away.
Eddie Chavo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chavo moves into the clinch successfully.

Kringle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Chavo distracts Kringle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kringle uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chavo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kringle to the mat! Kringle manages to get full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chavo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kringle has momentary wrist control but Chavo slips an elbow through the middle.

Chavo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kringle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chavo has Kringle in his guard.

Eddie Chavo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kringle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Eddie Chavo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

Eddie Chavo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
