Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Napoleon Complex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Dillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Complex comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash-When the Man Comes Around. Napoleon Complex had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Napoleon Complex!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Dillard!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillard shoots in looking for a takedown but Complex manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dillard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Complex tries to close the distance and clinch but Dillard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dillard walks into a straight right hand from Complex.
Complex avoids the head kick by Dillard.
Complex fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dillard on the side of the head.
Dillard throws a series of punches but Complex avoids them all with ease.
Dillard on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Dillard shoots in looking for a takedown but Complex manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dillard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Good leg kick by Complex there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Complex cracks the inside of Dillard's front leg.
Dillard shoots in for a takedown but Complex shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Napoleon Complex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Dillard.
Complex tries to clinch but Dillard is having none of it.
Complex lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dillard tries to keep at a distance but Complex has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dillard goes for a takedown in the clinch but Complex prevents it.
Dillard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Complex pulls his leg out and moves away.

Complex closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dillard's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Complex pushes Dillard back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dillard blocks a body shot from Complex.
Dillard tries to pull guard but Complex won't allow it.
Dillard tries to pull guard but Complex forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dillard jumps guard but Complex turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Complex lands with a left to the head.
Complex has Dillard pressed against the cage.
Complex tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Dillard turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dillard manages to end up in side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Complex manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Complex perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Complex tries to pass to full mount but Dillard defends it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Complex is figuring out what he wants to do next.

We're going to have a standup here because Napoleon Complex wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dillard keeps the fight on the outside.
Napoleon Complex is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Complex throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Complex lets loose with a powerful body kick. Dillard will feel that in the morning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Complex will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Complex connects with a right hand. Dillard shakes it off.
Good exchange - Complex coming out on top.
Complex digs a good hook to Dillard's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Complex thuds his right hand into Dillard's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


Dillard is rocked!
Complex stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Dillard is still on wobbly legs! Can Complex finish him?

Dillard gets tackled into the cage by Complex. Complex maintains the clinch.
Complex lands a body shot.
Dillard tries to pull guard but Complex holds him up against the cage and eventually Dillard drops back down to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A left hand lands to the body for Complex.
Dillard tries to pull guard but Complex won't allow it.
Complex lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dillard backwards.
Complex makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Napoleon Complex dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Complex gets a clinch.
Dillard is trying to drag Complex to the mat but Complex just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dillard seems to have recovered his senses.
Complex displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dillard up against the cage.
Dillard goes for a takedown attempt but Complex pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dillard takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Complex gets a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Complex gets through Dillard's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Dillard is looking for a takedown.
Napoleon Complex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Dillard.
A short left from Complex.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Complex creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Complex.
Complex lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Dillard is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Complex to keep the fight standing.
Still in the clinch, Complex scores with a nice short uppercut.
Complex creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Dillard's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Dillard drops to his knees and Complex pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Napoleon Complex!
Napoleon Complex retains his bantamweight title!
A very excited looking Napoleon Complex made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
