PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Jos Ricci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ortiz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Break Stuff. Carlos Jos Ricci told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tito Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlos Jos Ricci!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz staying out of range there.
Nice uppercut lands for Jos Ricci. That snapped Ortiz's head back.

and Ortiz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jos Ricci tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ortiz was well out of range. Poor timing from Jos Ricci.
Jos Ricci's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jos Ricci duly obliges.

Tito Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jos Ricci counters with a good, hard body kick but Ortiz shrugs it off.
Ortiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jos Ricci tries to avoid it but Ortiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jos Ricci to the ground. Jos Ricci escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tito Ortiz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ortiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jos Ricci tries to avoid it but Ortiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jos Ricci to the ground. Jos Ricci escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
