Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikov Kimbley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimbley has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikov Kimbley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Kozlov!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimbley swats away the attempt to clinch by Kozlov.
Kimbley is breathing heavily.

Kozlov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kimbley tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kozlov is in Kimbley's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kozlov sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Kozlov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Kozlov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kimbley, up you get!

Kozlov moves into range and clinches up with Kimbley.
Kozlov tries to pull guard but Kimbley won't allow it.

Kozlov breaks the clinch.
Kozlov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kimbley sprawls well. Kimbley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kozlov gets slowly back to his feet.
Kozlov tries for a takedown but Kimbley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mikov Kimbley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Kozlov.
Kozlov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Kozlov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kozlov.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kozlov lands a nice short elbow.

Kozlov shoots in for a takedown but Kimbley shows good takedown defense.

Kozlov closes the distance and pushes Kimbley back into the cage.
Kozlov tries to pull guard but Kimbley forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Kozlov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kozlov looks to land a right hand but Kimbley moved out of range.

Kozlov closes the distance and pushes Kimbley back into the cage.
Kimbley stops a takedown attempt from Kozlov.
Kozlov wants to take the fight to the mat but Kimbley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kozlov.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kimbley is trying to break the clinch but Kozlov is controlling him.
Kozlov has Kimbley pressed against the cage, preventing Kimbley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kimbley is trying to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kozlov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kozlov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kimbley avoids it really well and circles away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kozlov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kimbley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kozlov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kozlov stands up and beckons Kimbley to his feet.

Kozlov shoots in and bounces Kimbley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kozlov rushes Kimbley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kozlov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kozlov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kimbley wants to get back to his feet but Kozlov passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kozlov in particular looking to stall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kozlov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kozlov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kimbley tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kozlov stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivan Kozlov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Kozlov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kozlov looks for the body kick but Kimbley saw that one coming.
Kimbley lands a nice hook to Kozlov's body. Kozlov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kozlov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kozlov tries for a kimura but Kimbley is defending well.

Kozlov stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Kozlov wants to pass the guard but Kimbley is keeping the position.

Kozlov lands a big shot there that rocks Kimbley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ivan Kozlov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kozlov stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Well Kozlov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
