Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Pigeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pigeon comes to the cage accompanied by Hank Williams Jr. - Country Boy Can Survive. James comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tuesday's Gone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Pigeon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy James!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigeon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
James dives in and grabs Pigeon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pigeon pushes down on James's head and hops out.
James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Pigeon shoots in and bounces James off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pigeon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

James stands up over Pigeon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pigeon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. James is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pigeon is adopting a defensive guard.
Pigeon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst James is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy James dominated that round.

James lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pigeon throws a lazy body kick

and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Pigeon has one foot on James's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Pigeon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pigeon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pigeon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pigeon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and James counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Harry Pigeon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from James finds it's way through Pigeon's defenses.

Pigeon connects with the punch.
Some wild striking there from Pigeon.
Pigeon throws a left and a right that both miss

and James counters by clinching up.

James has Pigeon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. James pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pigeon tumbling to the mat - James dives into Pigeon's guard.

Pigeon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in James's guard.

James throws a sloppy strike and Pigeon has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! James is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Pigeon!
