The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Daugavins misses.
Daugavins misses with a double jab.
Daugavins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pieter circles away quickly and effectively.
Daugavins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Daugavins takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Daugavins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pieter was well out of range. Poor timing from Daugavins.
A looping hook to the body misses from Daugavins. Pieter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Daugavins slaps away a takedown attempt from Pieter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Daugavins loads up on a big right hand but Pieter slips the punch.
Pieter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daugavins as he jumps to the side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Pieter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Pieter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

A very excited looking Pieter Pieter rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
