Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Quik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone comes to the cage accompanied by SMALL AXE. Quik is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Zro ft. Devin the Dude - Hit'em with the Mule (Ratatatat Remix). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamal Quik!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quik misses with a two punch combination.
Quik pivots, looking for a leg kick but Stone is out of range and Quik settles back down.
Quik throws a right and a left that Stone avoids nicely.
Quik throws the left hand but Stone avoids the punch easily.
Quik feints and then cracks Stone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stone down.
Quik lands a jab to the nose.
Quik throws a half hearted mid kick.
Quik takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Quik misses with an attempted mid kick.
Stone scores with a jab to the jaw.
Stone cracks Quik with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quik thows a body shot but no joy.
Quik throws a poor cross that misses
and Stone counters with a nice low kick that buckles Quik's knee momentarily.
Stone walks into a jab.

Stone doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Quik throws a nice inside leg kick.
Quik scores with a sloppy right hand. Stone should have avoided that one.
Stone on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Stone slips a jab and a cross from Quik.

Stone connects with a leg kick. Quik looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Quik defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stone.
Quik fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Stone counters with a nice kick to the body.

and Stone counters with a nice low kick that buckles Quik's knee momentarily.

Stone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Quik to the ground. Stone is now in Quik's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ben Stone just wasn't active enough.
Stone moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Stone has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Quik.
Stone throws a nice outside leg kick.
Quik throws a solid leg kick but Stone takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Quik.
Stone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Quik throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Quik lands a right hook to the body.
Stone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Quik.
Jamal Quik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quik throws a head kick that misses.

Quik throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Quik throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Quik misses with a straight left.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed right hand from Quik misses the target.
An inside leg kick from Quik misses.
That kick from Quik tenderised Stone's leg. Stone is trying to keep his angry face on.
Horrible takedown by Stone or perhaps it was just good defense by Quik which made him look bad.
Stone ducks under a wild hook from Quik.
Quik throws a half hearted mid kick.
Quik misses with a kick to the body.

Quik scoring well with a low kick there.
Stone throws a shot from downtown. Quik moves away and avoids it.
Stone takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A clash of legs there as Stone blocks the low kick.
Quik doesn't manage to clinch there - Stone circles away.
Quik rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stone finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Quik changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Stone is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Quik drops Stone with a beautiful combination! Stone stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Quik is looking for the KO!


Stone is rocked!


It looks like Ben Stone has been cut.
Quik swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Oh Stone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Quik cracks Stone with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Stone looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Quik finish him?

A slapping leg kick lands for Quik.
Quik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stone manages to avoid it.
Quik throws a leg kick
and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stone seems to have got his legs back now.
Quik swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Quik misses the target.
Quik throws a lazy uppercut

and Stone counters with a takedown into side control.
Stone throws a strike aimed at the side of Quik's head but Quik avoids it well.
Quik parries the strikes from Stone easily there. Stone is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Quik to escape.

Stone throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Stone lands a few punches from side control.
The ground and pound from Stone seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Stone throwing strikes but Quik manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Stone sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Stone is controlling Quik's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Stone manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Stone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stone is looking for a triangle but Quik pushes his legs off easily.

Stone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Quik defends it easily.

Quik gets to his feet. Stone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stone with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Quik to score with a decent uppercut.
Stone takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Quik throws a series of punches but Stone avoids them all with ease.
Stone checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Quik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quik fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Stone counters with a low kick, right behind Quik 's knee.
Stone connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Quik looks to land a left hand but Stone moved out of range nicely.
Quik tried to score with a low kick but Stone checks it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Quik swings for the body but Stone moves out of range.
Stone bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Quik feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stone's calf.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quik wants to control but Stone postures up.

Quik is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stone connects with a decent elbow.

Quik is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quik takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Stone's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
