Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aloha Hoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacks Sole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoi comes into the arena with Rock You Like A Hurricane blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aloha Hoi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacks Sole!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sole pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sole.
Hoi missing with a left hand there. Sole was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hoi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Sole throws a right and a left that Hoi avoids nicely.
Sole misses with a few strikes there.
Sole slips a jab from Hoi.
Hoi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hoi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sole at a distance.
Jacks Sole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hoi gets the takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hoi taking a break here but Sole is having none of it and regains half guard.
Hoi throwing shots but Sole is blocking nicely.
Sole is looking to improve his position.
Hoi is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Hoi is looking for a kimura but Sole is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hoi to get the leverage.
Sole tries to get to full guard but Hoi has control of the leg.
Sole keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hoi trying to control from Sole's half guard. Sole has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Sole is pulling down on Hoi's head. It's preventing any offense from Hoi, at least for the moment.
Sole utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hoi wants to control from the top but Sole keeps moving.
Hoi pushes down on Sole's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sole manages to get to full guard.
Hoi wants to control from the top but Sole keeps moving.
Hoi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sole swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Let's hope that Sole has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hoi wants to control from the top but Sole keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sole is trying to keep Hoi in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jacks Sole was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hoi throws out a leg kick but Sole moves out of range and Hoi only half commits.
Sole throws the left hand but Hoi avoids the punch easily.
Sole jabs Hoi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hoi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sole.

Sole misses with a body kick.
Sole tries a head kick but it misses.
Some wild striking there from Sole.
Hoi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sole throws out a leg kick but Hoi moves out of range and Sole only half commits.
Sole scoring well with a low kick there.
Sole throws a nice looking combination but Hoi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Crunch! Hoi slams his shin into Sole's torso.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sole looks winded!

Hoi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hoi content to stall in guard here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aloha Hoi dominated that round.
That's time! Hoi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hoi lunges at Sole with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sole's hand.
Hoi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hoi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sole checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hoi paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Sole throws a hook but Hoi avoids it easily.
Aloha Hoi is winning the standup battle so far.
Hoi drops his hands momentarily and Sole takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hoi takes a swing at Sole's ribcage but misses.
Hoi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hoi checks a low kick from Sole.
Sole misses with a head kick.
Hoi lands a nice looking kick to the body. Sole takes a step back to recover.
Sole lands with a thumping leg kick.
Good work by Hoi as he checks the leg kick.
Sole takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sole takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hoi is looking to wear down Sole with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sole takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Sole is breathing heavily.
Hoi's corner calls for a 1-2. Hoi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sole throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sole moves out of range of the body kick from Hoi.
Hoi swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Sole cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hoi throws a wild body kick that Sole sees coming a mile off.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sole crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hoi - the referee stops the clock and Sole gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hoi. Sole manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hoi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sole.
Hoi shoots in but Sole avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hoi throws a nice outside leg kick.

Hoi throws a leg kick which misses Sole's front leg but catches the back leg as Sole tries to avoid it.

Hoi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sole napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hoi has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Aloha Hoi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hoi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Hoi lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Hoi controlling from the full mount.
Hoi scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Sole?
Sole wants to hold on but Hoi pushes him away.

Hoi lands a nice shot to the head.


Sole is rocked!
Hoi postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Sole badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Hoi around the waist but Hoi pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Hoi is the winner by TKO! Hoi jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aloha Hoi!
An out of breath Aloha Hoi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
