Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gab Showman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miron Gornyakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miron Gornyakov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showman tries a head kick but it misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gornyakov.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gornyakov is staying tight to Showman's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Let's hope that Gornyakov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Miron Gornyakov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gornyakov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Showman's head backwards.

Gornyakov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Showman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gornyakov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Showman rather than just go for the knockout.
Showman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gornyakov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Showman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Showman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gornyakov finds it's way round the side to connect with Showman's head.

Gornyakov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gornyakov is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Showman is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Showman flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gornyakov anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Showman and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gornyakov slips an arm under Showman chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gornyakov has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gornyakov is squeezing on Showman like an anaconda would it's prey. Showman fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
