Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Leigh Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter O Flanigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent comes to the cage accompanied by Stand Up (Akala). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Walter O Flanigan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from O Flanigan. No joy for Kent on that attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kent tries to reverse the position but O Flanigan maintains control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

O Flanigan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Despite being in the dominant position, Walter O Flanigan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

O Flanigan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Kent looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kent is breathing heavily.

O Flanigan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kent, up you get!
Kent doesn't succeed with the takedown

and O Flanigan moves into the clinch.

O Flanigan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kent can't fight it off and eventually O Flanigan manages to take the fight to the floor. Kent looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walter O Flanigan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kent shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and O Flanigan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kent's guard.

Kent had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. O Flanigan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kent Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take O Flanigan's back instead.

Kent is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Kent is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. O Flanigan defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Kent is looking for the choke from the back position but O Flanigan is controlling his hands well.

O Flanigan is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kent is trying to stick to O Flanigan's back but O Flanigan is turning into Kent. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kent's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by O Flanigan.

Kent throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! O Flanigan escapes and throws Kent's legs to the side, diving into side control!

O Flanigan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kent will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

O Flanigan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Kent is refusing to be controlled, as O Flanigan sits in half guard.

Kent shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so O Flanigan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells O Flanigan's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
O Flanigan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kent throws his legs up looking for a submission but O Flanigan uses it to pass to side control.
Kent is looking for a sweep.

Walter O Flanigan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

O Flanigan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kent is just riding it out for now. O Flanigan eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well O Flanigan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
