The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Watson tenderised Cabrillo's leg. Cabrillo is trying to keep his angry face on.

Watson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Watson wants it to stay on the feet.
Watson throws a leg kick which misses Cabrillo's front leg but catches the back leg as Cabrillo tries to avoid it.
John Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cabrillo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Watson.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cabrillo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Watson.

Watson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Watson cracks a nice hook into Cabrillo's ribs.

Watson drops Cabrillo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cabrillo looks back up at him and smiles so Watson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Cabrillo circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Watson. Cabrillo falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Watson!
