Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Fall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ribeiro Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribeiro Gracie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Fall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ribeiro Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fall shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.

Fall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracie was covering up waiting for the punch and Fall finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Fall advances to half guard.
Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie.
Gracie keeping full guard, as Fall tries to pass.
Fall trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fall is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Fall trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fall stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fall wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fall is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily.
Fall is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fall pulls his head out easily.

Gracie tries to roll over but Fall keeps him under control.

Fall looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gracie wants to improve his position but Fall is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fall pulls his head out easily.

Fall is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fall to get the leverage.

Fall is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fall lands a nice short elbow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fall is putting a hurting on Gracie here, landing some big shots from side control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Fall dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fall sprawls well. Fall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie shoots in but no luck this time.

Fall drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fall scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Fall keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gracie's head.

Gracie keeping moving, preventing Fall from controlling successfully.
Fall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.
Fall stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Fall eventually gives up the hold.

Fall is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Fall drives through with a takedown into Gracie's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Fall is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Gracie is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Fall controlling his opponent.

Fall is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gracie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gracie shrugs it off.
Gracie is squirming around, avoiding Fall's attempts to control the action.
Fall landing strikes, looking to finish!
Fall lands a nice shot to the head.
Gracie is bucking up trying to escape but Fall cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Gracie is still in real trouble! Can Fall finish him?
Fall lands a big elbow - Gracie is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Gracie is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jack Fall!
During a confident post fight interview, Jack Fall thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
