Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Linus Wallin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Gavilan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Linus Wallin had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Linus Wallin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kid Gavilan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallin moves in looking to clinch but Gavilan pushes him off.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gavilan.

Gavilan clinches with his opponent.
Wallin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gavilan is keeping busy.

Gavilan breaks from the clinch.
Gavilan is looking to slow Wallin down with leg kicks.
Wallin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gavilan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Gavilan closes the distance and clinches.

Gavilan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gavilan scoring well with a low kick there.
Wallin swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallin on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Wallin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gavilan controls the position for a moment.

Wallin is trying to get an arm triangle but Gavilan is defending well.
Wallin trying to control the position but Gavilan is working away.
Wallin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Wallin trying to control the action but Gavilan is working from the bottom.
Gavilan struggling a bit here.

Wallin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gavilan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Gavilan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wallin advances to full mount.
Gavilan holds on to Wallin around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
Gavilan is looking to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gavilan wants to hold on but Wallin pushes him away.
Gavilan is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wallin looking to control but Gavilan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Gavilan prevents Wallin from taking his back.
Wallin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wallin wants to control the pace but Gavilan is squirming around nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wallin with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Linus Wallin will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wallin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gavilan sprawls well. Gavilan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wallin gets slowly back to his feet.
Crunch! Gavilan slams his shin into Wallin's torso.
Gavilan throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Gavilan.
Gavilan cracks the inside of Wallin's front leg.
Wallin tries to clinch up but Gavilan circles away and keeps his distance.
Gavilan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Wallin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Linus Wallin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wallin tries to clinch up.
Wallin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Linus Wallin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gavilan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wallin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wallin dives in and grabs Gavilan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gavilan pushes down on Wallin's head and hops out.
Gavilan throws a nice outside leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gavilan.
Wallin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gavilan can pounce on him.

Gavilan lands a big head kick that sends Wallin tumbling to the mat! Gavilan takes a step backwards and waves Wallin back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Wallin is rocked!
Kid Gavilan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A chopping leg kick lands by Gavilan.
Oh Wallin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wallin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gavilan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wallin somewhat.
Wallin with a poor takedown
and Gavilan counters with a nice body kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Both fighters circling a little - Gavilan finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Gavilan takes the fight into the clinch.

Gavilan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gavilan feints and then cracks Wallin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wallin down.
Wallin seems to have got his legs back now.
Gavilan chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gavilan, right into the meat.
Wallin tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Wallin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gavilan.
Gavilan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wallin has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gavilan.
That kick from Gavilan tenderised Wallin's leg. Wallin is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gavilan thumps Wallin with a low kick.
Gavilan lands a brutal head kick. Wallin looks out on his feet and Gavilan throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Kid Gavilan!
