PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bilbo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Fulton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fulton has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baggins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Baggins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fulton is keeping the position for now.
Fulton looks winded!
Baggins distracts Fulton with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Fulton keeping moving, preventing Baggins from controlling successfully.
Baggins forces his way into half guard.
Baggins works his way into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baggins advances to full mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Baggins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Baggins stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Baggins shoots in and bounces Fulton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Baggins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Baggins wants to control from the top but Fulton keeps moving.
Baggins passes easily into side control. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baggins is chipping away with strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fulton is not content to let Baggins control the position.

Baggins is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Fulton looks calm but he's in trouble here. Baggins gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Fulton is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Baggins lets go of the hold and Fulton can pop his arm back in it's socket.
