Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Larry Thorne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thorne comes into the arena with Finntroll - Trollhammaren blaring out of the sound system. Cardoso comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Samba de Janeiro kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorne swings for the body but Cardoso moves out of range.
Cardoso misses with the body kick
and Thorne counters with an outside leg kick.
Cardoso looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Thorne pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cardoso is out of range and Thorne settles back down.
Cardoso throws a hook to the side of Thorne's head but Thorne sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Thorne tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Cardoso manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
