The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Ozawa checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ozawa moves in looking to clinch but Nero pushes him off.
Nero scores with a sloppy right hand. Ozawa should have avoided that one.
Ozawa blocks a leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Nero.
Ozawa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nero takes a kick to the side of the head.
Ozawa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Nero decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Nero throws a strike but Ozawa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ozawa is looking to stand up but Nero won't let him.

Ozawa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Nero creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ozawa sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ozawa has Nero up against the cage in a clinch.
Ozawa tries a knee to the head but Nero blocks it.
Ozawa is trying to maintain a safe position but Nero gets an underhook and turns Ozawa into the cage.
Nero lands a left hand.
Ozawa has a couple of punches blocked by Nero.
Nero is trying to break the clinch but Ozawa is controlling him.
Come on Ozawa - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Nero wants to get back to striking at distance but Ozawa won't allow it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nero takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ozawa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nero looks to land a body kick but Ozawa moved away.
Ozawa fails with an attempt to clinch.

Nero scores with a nice strike.
Nero moves away from the strike by Ozawa.
Nero connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Ozawa has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nero finds it's way round the side to connect with Ozawa's head.
Ozawa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lenny Nero seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ozawa wants to clinch up but Nero keeps it at a distance.
Ozawa on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ozawa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nero blocks a head kick by Ozawa.
Nero lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Ozawa can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Nero and Ozawa drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Nero.

After the fight, Lenny Nero was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
