Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshiro Montero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Deeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montero comes to the cage accompanied by Danzig - Mother . Deeney has chosen When We Ride as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toshiro Montero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Deeney!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deeney throws a low kick but it's checked well by Montero.

and Deeney takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Montero moves out of range of the body kick.
Montero wants to clinch.
Montero fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Deeney tries a head kick but it misses.
Montero blocks the body kick.
Deeney stuffs the takedown.
Deeney tries to clinch there but Montero circles away.
Deeney feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Montero's calf.
Nice uppercut there from Montero.

Deeney avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Montero checks the leg kick.
Montero throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Deeney throws a low kick but it's checked well by Montero.
Deeney throws a leg kick but Montero moved away.
Deeney takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Deeney throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Montero moves out of range of the body kick.
Deeney is looking to clinch but Montero is avoiding it.

The crowd cheers as Montero lands an impressive looking overhand right. Deeney doesn't seem phased though.

Montero throws a shot from downtown. Deeney moves away and avoids it.

Deeney tries to land a leg kick but Montero saw it coming and moves away.
Montero lands a right hook to the body.

Montero takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Deeney throws the kick towards the body but Montero avoids it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Montero sizes up Deeney with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Deeney moves to clinch but Montero breaks away
and Montero counters with a nice uppercut.
Deeney goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Deeney throws a nice inside leg kick.
Deeney takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Deeney misses with an attempted mid kick.
Deeney throws a half hearted mid kick.
Deeney tries to land a body kick
and Deeney takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Montero moves into range and connects with a jab.

Deeney throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Montero counters with a straight right hand.

Montero scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Deeney is trying to stand up here but Montero is controlling him well.
Deeney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Montero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Deeney wants to control but Montero is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That was a close round but I would say that Toshiro Montero will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Deeney is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Deeney is trying to work for a sweep but Montero has mounted him!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Deeney can do anything to dispel that myth.

Montero has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Deeney's face.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Montero lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Deeney regains half guard.

Montero content to control rather than advance.
Deeney is not content to let Montero control the position.
Deeney keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Deeney tries to roll over but Montero keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Horrible takedown by Montero or perhaps it was just good defense by Deeney which made him look bad.
Mark Deeney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Deeney keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Deeney wants to stand back up but Montero manages to pass into side control.

Montero creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Mark Deeney has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Deeney is not content to let Montero control the position.
Toshiro Montero overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Check out the look on Montero's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Deeney seems a little lost for a moment, as Montero dominates the positioning.

Toshiro Montero showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Montero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
