The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Coldon momentarily.
Ramirez ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Coldon is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ramirez thows a body shot but no joy.
Ramirez bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Coldon! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ramirez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Coldon keeping full guard, as Ramirez tries to pass.
Ramirez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Coldon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Coldon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Coldon!

Ramirez manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Ramirez wants to pass to mount but Coldon is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramirez works his foot free and advances to mount.
Ramirez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Coldon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Coldon is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Ramirez locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Coldon is forced to tap!
