And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mohamed Bashir!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bashir's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thomas connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bashir scrambles back to his feet.
Thomas bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jackson Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Thomas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Thomas lands a nice hook to Bashir's body. Bashir takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Thomas lands with a slapping head kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thomas darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Thomas throws a sloppy head kick and Bashir moves out of range easily.
Bashir on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Thomas. Thomas obviously looking to wear him down.
Thomas explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Thomas looks to land a body kick but Bashir moved away.
Thomas digs a good hook to Bashir's body.
Thomas pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thomas throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Bashir looks winded!

Thomas has taken the fight to the clinch.
Thomas lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Thomas digs a right hand underneath Bashir's ribcage. Bashir let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Thomas lands a hook to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thomas lands a knee to the head.
Thomas gets through Bashir's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Thomas lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Thomas lands with a light punch inside.
Thomas avoiding damage.
Thomas connects with a knee to the head.
A knee to the head by Thomas.


Bashir is rocked!
A short uppercut from Thomas.
Bashir is still on wobbly legs! Can Thomas finish him?
Thomas slows down the pace here.
Thomas working the clinch nicely. Bashir is working for position but Thomas cracks him with a big knee to the head! Bashir crumples up against the cage and Thomas lands two more shots before the ref can save Bashir! This one is all over!
