PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Micky Mcgarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stark's choice of entrance music: 36 MaFia - Live By Yo Rep. Steven Stark told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Micky Mcgarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steven Stark!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Stark got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mcgarry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stark has managed to get both his arms back between Mcgarry's legs - danger averted.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Mcgarry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stark avoids it really well and circles away.

Mcgarry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stark might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mcgarry kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Stark is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mcgarry has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Stark is looking to defend but Mcgarry has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Stark! Mcgarry pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Stark taps out and this one is all over!

A less than humble Micky Mcgarry misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
