Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Daniel Cormier has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Daniel Cormier seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Miller!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier tries to clinch up.

Miller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cormier is on top in guard.
Miller wants to control but Cormier passes easily into half guard.

Cormier is working for a kimura but Miller is defending it quite comfortably.

Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Miller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cormier content to stall in guard here.

Miller is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Cormier is struggling to control the position.

Cormier lands an elbow inside.
Miller tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cormier just stands there and leans against the cage.

It looks like Jerry Miller has been cut.

Cormier lands with a short shot to the head.
Cormier creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Miller's defenses.
Cormier has Miller pressed against the cage. He pushes Miller back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Cormier throws a beautiful elbow that sends Miller crashing to the floor! Cormier piles on the pressure with more strikes! Miller is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Cormier!
