Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andr Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Trickle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andr Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dick Trickle!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter takes a jab right on the kisser.
Trickle misses with a hook. Hunter ducked under it nicely.
Hunter moves out of range of the body kick from Trickle.

Hunter tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A combination from Trickle does no damage.
Trickle scores with a sloppy right hand. Hunter should have avoided that one.
Trickle moves in looking to clinch but Hunter pushes him off.
Trickle throws a shot from downtown. Hunter moves away and avoids it.
Trickle loads up on a big right hand but Hunter slips the punch.
Trickle misses with a low kick.
Trickle is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dick Trickle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Trickle lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Trickle tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Hunter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Trickle!
Trickle avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hunter.
Trickle blocking the ground and pound.
Hunter throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poor strikes thrown by Hunter there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Hunter working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Hunter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trickle is looking to escape.

A nice elbow there by Hunter.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunter lands a heavy elbow.
Hunter punching from mount but Trickle doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Trickle is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Hunter throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Trickle wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hunter.
Trickle is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Trickle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hunter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Trickle is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Trickle and Hunter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Trickle tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hunter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Trickle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hunter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Trickle to see if he's OK.
Hunter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trickle keeps working.

Hunter decides to stand back up. Hunter steps back and let's Trickle get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Trickle misses with a hook

and Hunter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Trickle is pressing down on Hunter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hunter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Hunter decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Trickle, up you get!
Trickle paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hunter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trickle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hunter shoots in looking for a takedown. Trickle tries to sprawl out of it but Hunter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trickle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Trickle tries to clinch there but Hunter circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andr Hunter dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fighters circling - Trickle throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A left lands for Trickle.
Hunter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Trickle chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Trickle misses with a looping right.
Hunter is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Trickle lands a leg kick that knocks Hunter off balance momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Trickle. Hunter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Trickle misses with a hook. Hunter ducked under it nicely.
Trickle lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Trickle fails in his attempt to clinch.
Trickle fakes the leg kick and cracks Hunter in the body.

Trickle connects with a leg kick. Hunter looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Trickle sizes up Hunter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Andr Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Trickle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trickle turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Trickle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hunter.
Hunter takes one to the chin there.
Trickle lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Trickle misses with a straight left.
Trickle smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Trickle lands the left hand.
Trickle throws a combination. Hunter tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Trickle throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hunter's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hunter ducks right into an uppercut from Trickle.

and Hunter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hunter.
Hunter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hunter looking to sit in guard and control but Trickle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hunter keeping moving, preventing Trickle from controlling successfully.

Hunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trickle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hunter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hunter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Trickle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hunter is keeping the position for now.
Hunter keeping moving, preventing Trickle from controlling successfully.
Trickle might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hunter kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dick Trickle.
Trickle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hunter manages to avoid it.

Hunter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Trickle throws out the jab.

Trickle misses with an uppercut. Hunter saw that one coming.
Hunter takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Hunter counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter has knee on belly momentarily but Trickle bucks him off and regains half guard.
Hunter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hunter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trickle's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dick Trickle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Hunter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Hunter takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Trickle jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Trickle ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Trickle lands with a shot to the body.
Trickle gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Hunter counters with a single leg into guard. Trickle didn't expect that.
Hunter trying to control the position from guard on top but Trickle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Trickle wants to sweep here but Hunter controlling him for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trickle can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hunter looking to sit in guard and control but Trickle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Trickle's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Trickle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Trickle is looking to work some ground and pound but Hunter has wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dick Trickle was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hunter shoots in for a double leg but Trickle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hunter takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Trickle throws a body punch but Hunter moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Trickle.
Trickle is looking to clinch.
Trickle uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Trickle thumps Hunter with a low kick.

Hunter has Trickle pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hunter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Trickle tumbling to the mat - Hunter dives into Trickle's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Trickle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hunter scoring with some ground and pound.
Hunter passes Trickle's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hunter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Trickle tries to roll over but Hunter keeps him under control.
Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Trickle is looking to control Hunter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trickle avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hunter in particular looking to stall.

Hunter is trying to control. Trickle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hunter is taking a breather. Trickle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We're going to have a standup here because Andr Hunter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Trickle tries to clinch but Hunter moves out of range.
Dick Trickle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trickle keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Trickle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hunter swats him away and circles back towards the center.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dick Trickle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Trickle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Dick Trickle decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
