The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakashi tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Terry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Terry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Terry throws a sloppy head kick and Kakashi moves out of range easily.
Kakashi dives in and grabs Terry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Terry pushes down on Kakashi's head and hops out.
Terry tries a head kick but it misses.
Kakashi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Terry is fending him off so far but Kakashi persists. Nope, Terry circles away and we're back to standing.
Terry shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kakashi but Kakashi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Terry. No joy for Kakashi on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aoki Kakashi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Terry shoots in looking for a takedown but Kakashi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Terry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Terry fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kakashi gets tackled into the ropes by Terry. Terry maintains the clinch.

Kakashi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Kakashi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Terry is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kakashi, into his guard.
Terry is looking to work some ground and pound but Kakashi has wrist control.

Kakashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Terry is aware though and is defending well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Terry is sitting in close to Kakashi's body. Kakashi has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Terry is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Terry is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kakashi.
