Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Barris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rajesh Koothrappali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koothrappali is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Punjab. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rajesh Koothrappali!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Barris goes for an armbar but Koothrappali turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Koothrappali.

and Barris counters with an inside leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Koothrappali lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Barris has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Barris and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Barris is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Koothrappali wriggles free and stands up.

Barris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Koothrappali.

Koothrappali lands a nice shot that snaps Barris's head back.

and Barris counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Koothrappali thinking.

Barris works over Koothrappali's head and body with a nice combination.
Koothrappali tries to clinch there but Barris circles away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Koothrappali darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Barris throws a front kick aimed at Koothrappali's knee but Koothrappali avoids it well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Koothrappali creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Barris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A close second round but Rajesh Koothrappali will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Barris has Koothrappali pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Koothrappali manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Koothrappali is looking to control Barris's arms but Barris gets an underhook and turns him. Now Koothrappali has his back to the cage.
Barris goes for a takedown attempt but Koothrappali pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Barris rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Koothrappali moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Barris stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Koothrappali.

John Barris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Barris takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Koothrappali wants to clinch up but Barris keeps it at a distance.

Koothrappali stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Koothrappali wants it to stay on the feet.

Barris lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Koothrappali!
Barris cracks Koothrappali with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Barris is working for a guillotine from mount but Koothrappali frees his head quite easily.

Barris looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Koothrappali tries to control Barris's body but Barris pushes him off. Koothrappali squirms to his side and now Barris has his back!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Barris.
I think Barris has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
